Q: I've successfully downloaded the Sylenth1 Demo. How can I use it? A: Sylenth1 is a VSTi plug-in. To use it, a VST compatible audio host application must be installed on your computer. To install Sylenth1, unzip the file you downloaded from our site, run the installer and follow the instructions. Q: Is there a stand-alone version of Sylenth1? A: No. If you would like to use it as a stand-alone synthesizer you can use one of the free VST hosts that can be found on the internet. Q: Will Sylenth1 run on my Mac PowerPC? A: No, it will only run in Intel Macs, because it uses fast SSE processor instructions which are not available on PPC Macs. Q: I'm not sure if my processor supports SSE. Will Sylenth1 run on my PC? A: All current processors support SSE. If you have an old PC and you're not sure whether it supports SSE, just try running the demo. If you have an AMD Duron, you might need to enable SSE using a tool like WCPUID. Q: Was SynthEdit used in the creation of Sylenth1? A: No! Although SynthEdit was used in version 1, it was only used to create the user-interface and not the audio processing engine. Sylenth1 version 2 however is completely written in C++ and assembler code and has vastly improved stability and compatibility with all VST hosts. Q: Why is there a delay between the moment I play a note on my keyboard, and the moment I hear the note through my speakers? A: This delay is due to the latency of your soundcard. To get a better latency you should use a soundcard with ASIO drivers. |
